Who is Home Care & Repair?
Home Care & Repair is a residential services company that answers a homeowner’s need for all things home-related — repair, maintenance and home improvement projects. We offer exceptional communication, affordable pricing, and reliable, quality workmanship—built from the ground up.
How long have you been in business?
Home Care & Repair is a new handyman division of Riverside Construction, a reputable, award-winning design-build remodeling company in Greater Lafayette that was established in 2008. Our ability to carefully guide homeowners through a proven four-step remodeling process has rewarded us with a rapidly growing business. To meet growing demand, we expanded our professional services to include a handyman division in 2021 – focused on delivering the same level of quality service.
Are you licensed, insured, and bonded?
Although, there are no licensing requirements for handymen or general contractors in Indiana, Home Care & Repair is a fully incorporated business and is bonded and fully insured with general liability and workers compensation coverages.
What makes you different from other handyman services?
Home Care & Repair is the only professional services company in Greater Lafayette / Tippecanoe County providing handyman services that is owned and operated by Riverside Construction, Greater Lafayette’s first choice in a reputable design-build remodeling contractor. Because we’re not a “one-man operation” we’re not the cheapest. But Home Care & Repair provides true value—detailed estimates, fair pricing, efficient scheduling, professional craftsmen, honest communication, and we clean up after every job.

What hours are you open?
Home Care & Repair business hours are 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, and Saturday by appointment.
Who will be sent to my house to do the work?
Through Home Care & Repair, you will never be assigned a technician or craftsman who is not qualified to perform the work that you hire us to complete. All staff are thoroughly trained to deliver premium quality service —a higher standard set by Home Care & Repair’s parent company, Riverside Construction. Home Care & Repair technicians will always arrive in logo’d apparel and/or a marked work vehicle.
Do you have employees or subcontractors do the work?
Our employed technicians perform 95-100% of all work. If a project requires a specific skilled trade, we will work with you to bring in a reputable licensed subcontractor under our management.
Can I get an estimate for the work I want to have done?
Yes, you will know estimated costs for repairs or improvements before any work is performed.
Sometimes an estimate is done while you wait, and we can start right away following your approval. Other more complex projects may require more time to estimate. We always try and turn around a thorough estimate within 48 hours.
In addition, any changes to a project, for any reason, will be handled through a formal and transparent Change-Order process that requires client approval before work begins.
What are my payment options?
We accept all credit cards, checks, cash, and ACH payments.
How can I schedule an appointment with Home Care & Repair?
What if my job requires specific items or materials that need to be purchased? How does that work?
Does Home Care & Repair have a guarantee?
Yes, every Home Care & Repair project is backed by a one-year workmanship warranty. If you find defective or incorrect workmanship from normal use within a year of project completion, we will provide necessary repairs at no cost to you.
Materials usually have their own separate warranties. We will gladly help clients with material warranty issues by providing clear costs for replacing materials under the manufacturer’s warranty.
