Home Care and Repair was established in 2021 and is the new handyman division of Riverside Construction—a reputable, award-winning design-build remodeling company in Greater Lafayette that was established in 2008.
Their ability to carefully guide homeowners through a proven four-step remodeling process rewarded them with a rapidly growing business. To meet the growing demand, they expanded to provide professional handyman services that focus on delivering the same high-quality workmanship that Riverside Construction clients have come to expect.
Although there are no licensing requirements for handymen or general contractors in Indiana—Home Care and Repair is an incorporated business and is bonded and fully insured with general liability and worker's compensation coverages.
Our Founder, Andy Haste, built Home Care and Repair because people shouldn’t have to worry about risking their investment, dealing with poor-quality workmanship, or being taken advantage of by contractors who take payment and then don’t start or finish a project.
We only employ well-trained tradesmen who respect you and your home, build fair pricing models that are based on job specs and not pricing by the hour, and offer a one-year workmanship warranty so you’ll never have to worry about being taken advantage of.
We provide professional handyman services—including repair and maintenance, remodeling, and small construction.
Common projects include repairing minor plumbing or electrical issues, updating light fixtures and faucets, light remodeling, interior painting, adding a deck, building a storage shed, and expanding a closet—and pretty much everything in between.

You will never be assigned a technician or craftsman who is not qualified to perform the work that you hire us to complete. Our employees will always arrive at your home in branded vehicles and in uniforms and will never smoke on your property.
Our employed technicians perform almost all of our service calls. However, in the event that your project would require a specific skilled trade, we will work with you to bring in a reputable, licensed subcontractor under our management.
Yes, you will know the estimated costs for your project and provide your approval before the work is performed.
Sometimes, we can provide an estimate on the spot—but for more complex projects, it may take a day or two to gather materials lists and pricing. Either way, you will receive a written cost of service. Any unexpected changes to a project will be handled through a formal and transparent process that requires client approval to move forward.
Yes. We trust in the experience and training of our professionals and back their workmanship with a one-year labor warranty. If you find defective or incorrect workmanship, we will correct it.
If your job requires specific items or materials that need to be purchased, you have two options:
- You can select and purchase all of the materials on your own and we will coordinate and schedule your project accordingly, or
- We can help you make selections and purchase the materials on your behalf.
Please note that option two will include a small materials markup and a flat acquisition fee. If you already have the materials, just let us know.
We accept all major credit cards, checks, cash, and ACH payments.
