Our Handyman Services
Our goal is simple—we want you to be entirely satisfied with every project we complete.
Most people don’t have the time or expertise to complete small home improvement and repair projects.
We were tired of seeing people spend too much money on poor workmanship or be taken advantage of by contractors who take payment and then don’t start or finish a project. That’s why we provide professional handyman services that support a worry-free experience.
Our pledge is simple — we promise to treat you and your home with care and respect.
All of our handyman services, whether a home repair, home improvement, or small construction project, are backed by a 5-Point Promise that guarantees you will be entirely satisfied with our handyman services.

Meet our Team
When you partner with Home Care & Repair, you’ll have the opportunity to meet some amazing people—well, we think so anyway!

Andy Haste
Owner
Andy Haste is the president and owner of Home Care and Repair, the visionary behind the handyman service division, and the manager of operations. Andy’s 20+ years in the home services industry started when he was a young man working for his father’s residential construction business.
Early on, he learned by listening and taking the time to understand Lafayette homeowners’ needs and expectations. Andy eventually took his working knowledge of building materials, building codes, and blueprint reading and estimating and in 2008, turned it into Riverside Construction—a thriving design-build remodeling business.
One of his best qualities is the ability to listen. When his Riverside customers began requesting handyman services, he wanted to fulfill his mission of serving others. Because of this, Andy launched our professional handyman division in 2021.

Joel Haste
Branch Manager

Phil Price
Project Consultant
Phil is a Project Consultant with more than 25 years of experience in residential remodeling, handyman repairs, and home additions. In his role, Phil meets directly with homeowners to understand their needs, develop detailed and accurate estimates, coordinate materials, and oversee projects from start to finish. He takes pride in making sure every job runs smoothly, stays on schedule, and meets the level of quality he expects for his own home.
Phil’s background includes building custom homes, working across nearly every residential trade, and spending six years as a journeyman union carpenter, giving him experience in both residential and commercial construction. This hands-on field knowledge, paired with his estimating and project management experience, allows him to anticipate details others might miss and helps prevent miscommunication—something homeowners frequently appreciate.
Outside of work, Phil enjoys spending as much time outdoors as possible. He loves hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, and traveling, and when he’s at home, you’ll usually find him building something—woodworking is a hobby he plans to keep for life.

Matt Rowings
Sales & Service Rep
Matt plays a key role in keeping daily operations organized and running smoothly. Although he’s newer to the handyman industry, he brings a strong focus on scheduling, communication, and time management. On a day-to-day basis, he coordinates appointments, manages calendars, and works to ensure homeowners, technicians, and resources are aligned as efficiently as possible—helping reduce confusion and keep projects on track.
Matt works closely with the team, including Branch Manager Joel, to continually sharpen his skills and improve office efficiency. He’s especially mindful of homeowners’ time and priorities, knowing that life is busy and that clear communication and reliable scheduling make a real difference. Customers appreciate his ability to manage details behind the scenes so their projects feel less overwhelming and more manageable.
Outside of work, Matt enjoys unwinding with crime mystery shows, playing video games, and spending time at church with his dad. He also likes shooting at the range and going on date nights. When working with homeowners, Matt wants them to know he’s there to listen, understand their perspective, and do everything he can to help meet their needs.
